Hints and Tips: Around 1984 Lotus changed the design of the clutch cover and release bearing. The fingers of the early clutch cover are straight, with a coresponding curved face on the release bearing. The later models including 1988 USA cars have curved fingers on the clutch covers and a flat face on the bearing. The centre plates are all the same. Either design will work, with the correct corresponding bearing. A082Q4018F with A085Q4016J and SJ082Q0002 with A082Q4013J
